Supernatural will end its journey with season 15

Supernatural will end its
journey with season 15

Yesterday, Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins shared an emotional video message to fans announcing the news that one of the longest running series would be coming to an end. This may come as a shock too many fans as the series just celebrated the 300-episode mark, however as we all know some things must come to an end even our beloved Supernatural.

Rare is the opportunity to be able to follow a show and literally see the actors mature and grow for over a decade. The series, though focused on supernatural events, has always been about family, a family we here at SQ were happy to be able to feel a part of each week. I think Jared said it best with his message to the fans.

“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera. For us it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen, Jared and Misha for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the sendoff they deserve.”

As you can see Jared Padalecki is having a hard time holding back his tears as he, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins announce the shows conclusion after season 15. After first informing their crew, Padalecki started the video by saying that they wanted Supernatural fans to hear it from them first before hearing it from anyone else.

Though they are excited to start season 15 it will be bittersweet for us fans and I’m sure the cast and crew as well.

“Hey #Supernatural family here’s a little message from Jensen Ackles Misha Collins and me. I’m so grateful for the family that’s been built because of the show. Excuse me while I go cry.”

Though no reason behind Supernatural ending was given, it has been a long and wonderful journey for everybody involved. Executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb released a statement about the show ending, which you can read below.

As Season 15 rolls in I think we can expect a wild ride for the Winchester boys, and hopefully a sendoff deserving the respect we all have for them and this wonderful show that has been a part of our lives for such a long time.
